Today

Ok so I have realized that being an RN pretty much rocks, I get to have 4 entire days to stay home and spend with Aiden, I love it, it’s great. Now that he is getting older he has just mastered crawling, as of Sunday. He had been working on it for nearly 2 months and now he has it down pat, which is great because now he can get to all of our household cords even faster!!!! He thinks that laptop cords are especially great, so now the word “NO” has become a staple in my vocabulary. (before Aiden I said yes to anything….yeah, right) He is also now pulling himself up on the furniture to stand, and he DEFINITELY thinks that he is hot stuff when he does that, every time he pulls himself up he looks around to make sure someone is watching, and then waits for the applause. In fact he has just now pulled himself up on the entertainent center and is watching Mariah Carey in next to nothing dance around (note to self, stop watching MTV). Aiden’s newest discovery? His umm, thing, you know, his “little Aiden” anyway during baths and diaper changes he thinks it’s the best toy ever!!! Which is great for me I no longer have to entertain him as he is now entertaining himself, with himself….. Although he won’t admit it I am sure Brandon had something to do with him finding it, I can just see it,
“Hey little buddy… Look what you’ve got down there, yeah… it’s pretty cool isn’t it?”

So whether it was something like that, or if he just figured it out on his own, it’s still pretty funny, I am not sure how to put it down in his baby book yet. I mean finding your belly button is OK, and discovering your toes it cute, but how to do you put, “today Aiden discovered, his umm, well, you know…” any ideas?

Anyway to get off the subject of Aiden, the weather has been great, I am sorry to those of you who are experiencing snowstorms, Life is good for us, work is going great, I love being a nurse on an OB floor, although with all the Breastfeeding moms in Santa Monica, I think I have grabbed more boobs than Hugh Hefner. I explained some aspects of my job to my husband and the look on his face was priceless, “You do WHAT?!?!?” I just figured everyone knew what nurses do, but I guess you have to be one, or be married to one to know the ins and outs. Our social life has started to take off a bit as we are meeting more people here in Los Angeles, and that’s nice, although we still have not found a church to attend which is kind of getting to me, so hopefully soon we’ll find something. So by now I should get back to Aiden, he thinks that DVD’s make great chew toys…
