Post Office
Ok, so today I go to the Post office to mail some VERY late Easter cards, and when I get to the counter I notice my son has something black (I am not sure what) on his face, without even thinking I lick my thumb and wipe it off. I pause. I AM HORRIFIED!!!!!!!! I swore I would NEVER do that to my hypothetical children, and now I have done it, what’s next? Using his middle name when he’s being naughty? It’s never going to end, I have open Pandora’s box (of things you swear you’ll NEVER do as a parent). It must be some sort of instinct, apparently I can’t control it.
Aiden had playgroup today, it’s funny because there is on chilcd there that’s basically the same age (she is three weeks older) and she’s as cute as a button, she and Aiden are very different however. She doesn’t crawl (and has no desire to) and she doesn’t do a lot of the other gross motor skills that Aiden has learned, But it’s so cute she waves bye-bye (a concept my son doesn’t even come close to grasping) and she points and claps, it’s so cute. I don’t know how long it’s going to take Aiden to learn the little fine motor skills, but it sure it cute to watch them together, Aiden crawls and climbs all over her.
There’s always this couple that comes to the same park and does Tai Chi (that is if I know what Tai Chi is….) I am not sure what Tai Chi does for a person, and I definitely don’t know why people go to public places like beaches and parks, you don’t see people going to the playgrounds to do thier sit-ups and squats, maybe Tai-Chi’ers think that they are superior and want every to see them doing it and know they are in fact Tai-Chi’ers, well whatever makes them Happy I suppose.
My son does not want to sleep today, let me re-phrase that sleeping in the cart at Target is fine, sleeping in the carseat is even better, but as soon as we get home will he sleep? No. So I decided to vaccuum (not my favorite pastime, but when you have a crawling baby it becomes a staple in your regular routine) and Aiden HATES the vaccuum, so I turn it on and he starts to scream, I am sure a few minutes into it the neighbors are calling CPS. Not to mention Brandon refuses to vaccuum, and I have never been at home by myself, so Aiden will just have to get used to it.
